Population
The Problem
The world is fast approaching seven billion people, and this has posed a threat to sustainability and the available resources. Developing countries have shown exponential growth in population and the rate of poverty and children put up for adoption has grown as well. The sustainability and survival of the depleted world is becoming a larger and fearful problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

The Solution
Enforcing rules and regulation to citizens of certain countries where population has grown exponentially. Countries such as China have already set the limitation of having one child per couple and have shown decent success. Also, most developed and developing countries offer castration as a way of controlling population. However, the greatest solution to this problem is proper education to impoverished countries. People are oblivious to the emotional, physical, and financial complications behind having a baby and proceed to copulate without prior knowledge.

Canadian Perspective
Canada’s population is currently over 35 million and increasing fast. In fact, with growth at 1.2% per year, it is one of the fastest growing developed countries in the world. With respect to the land size of Canada, this country is considered to be unpopulated; however, most Canadian live near the American border, thus the northern parts of provinces lack the number of people. On the other hand, heavily populated cities within Canada have extremely high population densities and are beginning to get to the point of running out of room. The carrying capacity of Canada can withstand many more individuals, however, it can only take them if the population spreads further north.
Our Perspective
Despite the fact that many rural areas in Canada are sparce in population, Canada does seem to have heavily populated cities such as Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. However, Canada is one of the few countries affected by ths population crisis, and people need to focus on developing countries who face this problem. The population problem has to be addressed immediately and effectively, because there are only so many resources in the world, and with the exponential growth of population, resources are soon to be depleted.
